Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 October 2026
This policy covers the Dozi app for iPhone and iPad and this website. Dozi is developed by Anam Irfan (“we”). In short: Dozi has no accounts, does not upload or record your video and audio, and we do not collect personal data through the app.
Video and audio
When you use Dozi, the baby device captures video and audio and sends it directly to the parent device you paired with a QR code, over your local Wi-Fi network. The stream is not sent to us or to any cloud service, and it is not recorded or stored. The stream is encrypted between the two devices, and each session uses a new one-time code from the QR code so that only the device that scanned it can connect. See Privacy & security for a plain-language overview.
To establish the connection, the devices may contact a public STUN server operated by Google. This is a standard WebRTC step that tells a device its network address; it receives your devices’ IP addresses but no video or audio.
Data stored on your device
Dozi stores your settings (for example alert preferences and onboarding progress) and your purchase status on your device only. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Permissions
- Camera and microphone: to stream video and audio from the baby device and for talk back.
- Local network: to find and connect to your other device on your Wi-Fi.
- Notifications: to alert you on the parent device. Notifications are generated on the device.
Purchases
Free trials, subscriptions and other purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. Apple’s privacy policy applies to those transactions.
Feedback
If you choose to send feedback through the form linked in the app’s settings, or email us, we receive what you send and use it only to respond and improve Dozi. The feedback form is hosted by Google Forms.
This website
This website does not use cookies or advertising trackers. To count visits, it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or local storage and does not track individual visitors; it reports totals such as pages viewed, referring sites, browser type and country. The website is hosted on Netlify; like any web host, Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect the service. Download buttons link to Apple’s App Store, where Apple’s privacy policy applies.
Children
Dozi is used by parents and carers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we do not hold personal data from the app, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed us or sent feedback, you can ask us to delete it. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if our practices change. Questions: use our support form. See also our Terms of Use.
